Amsterdam 63 – 1989

The technical part of this photograph wasn’t great – but I was able to do some post-processing to save it. The composition is something I like – its really quirky – not as “nice” as some of the other Amsterdam cyclist photo’s that I took – but the “decisive moment” is really there – the riders look of his face and the shadow. I actually think that shadow is mine – but I literally had one trench coat ever – and I did take it with me to Europe – I now remember the office manager kidding me and calling the London Fog raincoat “a great big bloody mac” . . . .

Song wise – there is something I really like about the cello and either mandolin or dulcimer – this is when just two instruments seems to work – both in the amount of playing as well as sonically.
