Guggenheim – 1989

I’m on a kick lately where I want to write some songs that have a Tom Waits “spooky” vibe. They are really fun to write and play. His ultimate is “What’s He Building?” – but “Chocolate Jesus” and many others fit his oeuvre. I would use a megaphone and talk sing some lyrics to this – if I cared to sing again – but I’m kind of over trying to sing.

The SSL12 has opened some new sonic doors for me. I’m loving its versatility and the fact I could take two additional ribbon mics out of the closet and add them to the interface.

This photograph is a scan of a 4×5 negative that I had taken of a print from my 35mm camera, which I believe was a Pentax ME Super. More on the Pentax in my next post …..
