This weekends Halloween 666 Special #5 will be by far the most macabre of the series, but it will also be the funniest.
I’m in my own virtual world, but unlike Online virtual world’s, mine has power tools and paint.

What does Sussex County, Spectral Orb and Ikea have in common? That’s right, nothing.
Today I did upholster “ol’ Chrome Domes” high back chair and also finished the two bookshelves.
His Chromium Dome
Reflects the moonlight
Like a Spectral Orb
In the middle of the night
A ghastly site
His hairless head
Scares many a child
You'd think he was Dead
He's not a clown
But something far worse
His old beat up car
Is a dusty old Hearse
He offers the children
A one way ride
To the cemetery
Where they can't hide
Its only a nightmare
Puppets aren't real
Except politicians
Who grift, lie and steal
Stay tuned for this weekends fourth installment of the 666 Halloween series.

Well, today is the first day of my favorite season. Last year was a total disaster and write off. Autumn was all but ruined by both the smoke from the fires, Covid, and the biggest asshole I’ve ever experienced – Dirtbag Trump. That year of politics running up to and even past the election was a total dumpster fire.
This year we were spared all of last years woe, and its been replaced by great weather, nice fall colors (already) and fun with my art and photography. My new job is better than the last .
Besides having big Halloween fun, I’ll be sure to celebrate Thanksgiving big time. I guess there is one thing about bad times, things can only get better, and man, what a difference a year makes.
Go look at that big Harvest Moon. Its beautiful.

Today was great for a Monday. I was lamenting the end of the weekend late yesterday (my weekends are as close to perfect as you can get). But work was great today. Crazy how I still like work after 40 years in I.T. Guess I chose the right career!
OK, ol’ “Floppy Disk” needs a spine so he can sit in this chair (well, start of what will become a chair).
He will be the star of the next installment of the 666 Series. Stay in tune, er tubed, er tuned…..

I realized that while the cemetery model looked cool from a certain perspective, it didn’t work for the photographic intentions that I have.
Today’s song was a blast. Fender Thin Telecaster, Gretsch Lap Steel, Piano and Bass. I thoroughly enjoyed playing every part.

I’m done painting and decorating the haunted house. It turned out better than I had expected.
The cemetery and gates / fence is almost done. I need to make it look weathered. The “mitre” was a funny happy accident.
I’ll be doing a Halloween photo shoot sooner than expected, so maybe I’ll do several.

I’m getting ready to build the fence for the Imaginary Puppet Theatre – shown in yesterday’s post. I have these cool wooden acorns that could look great on top of the fence posts.

I don’t want to jinx it, but we have had one of the best weather months in August in years. We have had fog cooling us down just about every night, and keeping the smoke away. Its been hazy, but so much better than last August.
We have been losing a minute a day of daylight, and now, past halfway mark, its much more noticeable. Yesterday I had my first green apple harvest, and I picked the biggest ones before the squirrels and birds get them. I’m a sucker for Autumn – even though last year the start of it was awful – with all the smoke. Knock on wood that we do better this year.
I grew up near The Delaware Water Gap, in Newton, NJ, but have been in the SF Bay Area most of my life. The colors are a lot more subtle in my area here in the East Bay – but they are all around.
I’m going to build a miniature gate and fence to go with the gothic Victorian House that I built. I might also paint the house so it looks weathered – like a Hunted House – if I can find a video on the technique.
Happy Acres

I got the haunted house painted black yesterday and also built the “Happy Acres” cemetery fence and gate built. I’ll use these for my next several photo shoots. I plan on having one for Autumn / Harvest Season, one for Halloween, and one for Thanksgiving. Then its Christmas and beyond.
Today’s song is meant to be a soundtrack to the cemetery, again, loosely in the Psychobilly vein – but maybe more like a gothic alt-Americana or Dead Country maybe. I had fun with three different Arturia V Collection 8 synth vst patches – using Piano, Solina and Buchla. I tried to create a “haunted music box” piano sound at the end of the song.
If you get tired of evil grifting politicians and greedy businessmen – just remember – there is a special place reserved for each and everyone of them at Happy Acres.
